SPRING LANDSCAPE AT KUERNERS: ANDREW WYETH – MATTED PRINT

Description This matted print is a beautiful reproduction of Spring Landscape at Kuerners, by Andrew Wyeth.  The original 1934 painting is a rare example of Andrew Wyeth’s early work in oil on canvas, a medium he later abandoned in favor of tempera and watercolor, which became his primary focus in his mature work. The painting depicts the cavernous “bank barn” at the Kuerner Farm in Chadds Ford, a characteristic type common in the Pennsylvania region. This site, local to Andrew Wyeth, inspired hundreds of artworks across decades. Spring Landscape at Kuerners, on exhibition in Home Places: Andrew Wyeth in Chadds Ford from April into October of 2025 at the Farnsworth Art Museum was acquired by the museum in 2024. This mounted matted print is 14″ x 11″ with the surrounding matte being approximately 2.25″ x 1.75″
