Description SPRING LANDSCAPE AT KUERNERS NOTECARD Spring Landscape at Kuerners by Andrew Wyeth is beautifully reproduced as a notecard. The original 1934 painting is a rare example of Andrew Wyeth’s early work in oil on canvas, a medium he later abandoned in favor of tempera and watercolor, which became his primary focus in his mature work. The painting depicts the cavernous “bank barn” at the Kuerner Farm in Chadds Ford, a characteristic type common in the Pennsylvania region. This site, local to Andrew Wyeth, inspired hundreds of artworks across decades. Spring Landscape at Kuerners, on exhibition in Home Places: Andrew Wyeth in Chadds Ford from April into October of 2025 at the Farnsworth Art Museum was acquired by the museum in 2024.
